(From my poetry Collection 'Signatures')
I don’t know of
what kind you are
I don’t know of
what kind you are!
I had not begun
or completed
or contemplated
even
of any pilgrimage.
I never planned of visiting
either Kasi
where
burnt carcass
and burning carcass
float on
or to Hardwar , Rishikesh,
Amarnath and
Kedarnath,
where Sadhus
threaten
you with beards,
and colourful
robes
and without robes
Had you started?
Glad, good news;
Still planning to
start
your much dreamily pilgrimage;
better start;
the future is
reaching
when rivers would
vanish
where carcass and
silt
alone would occupy.
the centers of pilgrimage
where killers and eaters only
would wait for sinners
and non- sinners
I don’t know of
what kind you are!
