(From my poetry Collection 'Signatures')
What will you do
for food?
What will you do
for food?
Have to swallow the
Sun.
Won’t the earth get
darken?
We can’t help it;
All these efforts
meant
to pull down the night only.
Why this much of
toil?
What is the
necessity?
Her arrival is
possible
only when the night
comes.
Will she be ever
with you?
Doubtful.
Does she have a
steady mind?
Not sure.
Then?
Need to vomit up
the sun.
Then won’t you be
hungry?
What will you do
for food?
Need to think of
it.
Don’t get confused;
Induce her to cook.
Always?
Always forever.
‘Golden light of
woman kind;
Crystal glow of
mankind.’
Invent many decorations
and
Place them over her
head
as crown and
coronet.
Would she believe?
Without knowing
the art of telling
believable lies
and trying to exist
is
a foolish venture
under modern
conditions.
Make sense ;
Something
you had
to do for food.
